Slope Side Garage
Built with the Landscape in Mind
This barn turned garage is more than a structure; it is a thoughtful study in purpose and place. Built into the hillside, its foundation is anchored by a sturdy concrete and hand laid stone retaining wall that connects it to the surrounding landscape.
Every material was chosen with care. The frame is made from locally sourced White Pine, the siding from fragrant and durable White Cedar, and rot resistant White Oak posts support a black standing seam roof designed to last for generations.
Inside, function and detail come together. The space stores vehicles, houses a workshop, and keeps wood easily accessible, yet custom touches make it feel special. Seamless exterior lighting, adjustable LED work lights, and upstairs lighting from reclaimed iron chandeliers and a cherished family Tiffany lamp create a balance between practical utility and refined artistry.
