“I had originally hired Corrigan & Klein Artisan Builders to replace a standing seam roof, remodel a 1970s interior solarium, and do a complete renovation of a bathroom. It’s important to point out that they worked from architectural drawings that I had provided—adding to them, subtracting from them, and easily navigating numerous issues that arose with these original plans.
With these projects underway, we started talking about other key weatherization elements that the house lacked. They pointed out that it would be more efficient to take on these additional projects while the house was under construction and before it was painted.
I am so glad we did. They replaced leaking windows, added flashing and snow belts around the house, replaced rotten siding, and trimmed out the windows to match my house—a house that was very patchy in appearance.
The exterior is now complete—and the painting is too. It looks amazing! Doubling as a color consultant, Devin skillfully guided my color choice for the house (as they had with the new roof). The painter I hired had told me about a client who had 25 color changes. With Devin’s help, we nailed the color after 3 small samples.
Of course, the most exciting part of the project has been the bathroom remodel.
Devin and Taylor came up with ideas that I never would have thought of: it’s a completely new space that will accommodate all our family members and provide a place of ultimate relaxation. Devin created idea books for me; brought me tile, trim, and paint samples; and connected me with local bathroom fixture specialists—all while explaining the cost benefits/detriments of my choices.
It could have been extremely overwhelming… but it has been wonderful. Devin has a terrific eye for design and is a pleasure to work with. Once we had sorted out the basics, Taylor finalized and tweaked the logistics to accommodate old plumbing, wiring, and significant house quirks. The results, still in their finishing phases, are already amazing.
I love all of what we have created. I appreciate Corrigan & Klein’s attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, consultations, and desire to source materials responsibly and locally. They are a pleasure to have in our home, are very trustworthy, and stick to their pricing estimates.

Timber Framing
Taylor has been practicing the craft of Timber Framing since 2002 when he attended his first workshop with Fox Maple run by Steve Chappell. He is the only student ever hired to continue working with Steve in Costa Rica and invited into the fold. Taylor went on to work for Tim Bickford on the Vineyard and independently in Vermont until he joined forces with Devin in 2012. Taylor brings a mastery of building techniques, attention to detail and tireless perfection to his work. His frames are pieces of art.
